There is Hope

sunrise
thrifted clothes
books

01. This was my view of the sunrise today. I had to go out because the sky was orange.

02. The clothes I thrifted the past two days. I have to attach 2 large buttons to the striped blue overalls (I didn't notice they were missing), I am cutting off 3 pants (the mint green, yellow, and cheetah?leopard?-printed ones) and convert them to shorts, and I hope the stains on the pleated blouse can be removed (I didn't notice again, got too excited).

03. I'm not sure when will I get to finish Voices From the Street, it depresses me. I'm currently reading Nation and then will have Anansi Boys right after.

Today is Tuesday and we are well,

Shoe Fest in My Head II

Shoe Fest in My Head

I know I've been away but it's partly intentional. I was sick the entire week 2 weeks ago and when I started getting better, all I wanted to do was just watch TV and read books. Well, that's aside from work. I got uninspired or too busy (whatever) to take photos or when there's an opportunity, the camera isn't with me. I decided to just "ignore" the blog for a while though I still sneak up everyday reading posts of blogs I follow.

And of course, I ogle at shoes from time to time online. These are all from Modcloth because I'm too lazy to browse other delightful online shops. The shoes from my previous shoe fest post were also from the same site. I will source from other sites next time when I don't get lazy again.

These days I just want to relax and be comfortable which kind of reflect the shoes I fancy about here.

I hope to be back real soon.

Sick

outfit
{thrifted shirt and pants, Parisian shoes}

I've not been feeling well since Sunday. I'll have a check-up later and hope it's not something really bad. I hope I don't get confined. I'll end it here. I'm dizzy.

I Stop The World and Melt With You

I actually want to say "I can't stop the world from melting me..."

The summer heat is bearable (or very much welcome) only when you're at the beach. Otherwise, it's a suffer. I wish I'd lose weight from sweating in the sun.

Watermelon is keeping me sane.

The heat is (bam bam bam bam) on,

Royally Fascinated

I caught the royal wedding bug, alright. Someone I'm following over at Twitter mentioned something about arrivals of wedding guests. I totally forgot about it until 2 hours prior the ceremony (My dates are all bungled this week. I thought it's still April 30 today...). So I turned on the TV and tuned in to Velvet for the guest arrivals and watched the rest over at BBC. The people over at E!, especially the female commentators but except the male one, were more interested on who and what Kate would be wearing for her dress and make-up. The dude kept saying "I'm learning a lot" (I think with fascination and a teeny bit of sarcasm) every time the girls start mentioning about dresses, dresses and dresses.

Anyway, so the guests were arriving and man, if Hollywood is all about gowns and dresses, the Brits are about hats and fascinators. It was like a Philip Treacy parade over there. Ever since I saw that cherry headgear on ADR, I want to put fruits on my head already. More than Kate's wedding dress, these royal wedding fascinators were a spectacle.
