It is me and you don't have to care.

Someone might be following, hunched, I wish I could ride a bike, save me, stripes and sneakers, melting paint

Zip it!

Fact: I'm afraid of heights. However I've been trying to overcome this fear by adding 'Go bunjee jumping' into my bucket list and Skywalking at Crown Regency Hotel Cebu. Last Saturday, my team went to Doce Pares Zipline at Busay. It wasn't my first time to go on ziplining; my first time was at Talima but was so unmemorable and lame. So, I was pretty pumped up to try out the Cebu Zipline.

Aside from ziplining, we also did this incredibly terrifying activity where you walk through this some sort of (but not really) hanging bridge and wire while you hold on to a pair of rope above you so you could traverse, get the heck through it and still return to your loved ones safe and intact, although terribly shaken.

Here goes:

One Flu-y Day

Hello blogfriends! I have recently recovered from influenza, though I am still having minor mucus-y ordeal. Okay, the latter was unnecessary telling. :))

Anyway, some photos taken last Friday at Veranda Parkmall for lunch with some colleagues:

I am down with the flu again, thanks to Cebu's incessant rain. Aside from that, I am also feeling under the weather emotionally-speaking. I really wonder why some people don't stick to their promises and others don't respect and mock some people's choices especially when they could not grasp the logic behind the said choosings and/or such choices aren't just their cup of tea. I, for one, do not judge by other people's choices, whether they may be good or bad. And anyway, we cannot actually determine whether they're good or bad until we see the outcome; choices are half-chances. Whatever one's choice is, he/she must suffer or enjoy the consequences/results. I let people be. And why do some people find it funny or incredible if others don't find happiness and fulfillment in a job that pays you a lot but don't have a passion for? Gaah, I could on but I don't want to harbor so much negative vibes here and my paragraph is running longer than my liking so I'm going to stop.

Photos by Ed

I didn't go to the streets yesterday for the Sinulog grand parade because I woke up late from our jaunt the previous day, so I'm stealing these photos from Ed. I'm not posting the real good 'uns though. He and some friends joined a photo contest so I might be accused of "publishing" photos prior to judging haha. So there, I stayed home, read a book, slept (again) on the couch and watched FTV the entire day.

In the sky of exploding diamonds

Just came home from Ayala Center and SM. Goodness, it was like all Cebuanos trooped to the streets and only their pets were left home! And this was, take note, despite the downpour. My feet ache, I feel pity for my sandals and am braindead now so I'll just leave you with these:

Exhibition of lines, shapes and colors

I personally want that bookshelf. Ed said he likes it too and thought of having a shelf custom-made to look like it for my books.

And, the painting. Too bad I wasn't able to take a photo of its caption but it captured what I felt when I looked at the canvass of colors. Aside from featuring my favorite colors, the paintings "talked" to me of sunshines and seas, of new beginnings and passions, of my life now and how badly I want to change it, annd of dreams and optimism. It was a pleasure just staring at it and getting a bit contemplative.

As much as I tried to remember the names of designers and painters, I couldn't but you can see the exhibition of furnitures, paintings and Filipiniana gowns (not pictured) at the Northwing of SM Cebu. :)

When I decided to get my nails professionally done (I've never had manicure until today), it was a conscious effort to change myself. I am taking steps to do things a bit different from what I'm used to, comfortable with, and what people expect me to do. "It's just nails!", you say and I assume, the things "risky" for me may be normal and boring to others. I don't know, maybe I'm going through a phase? I am slowly gathering up courage to deviate from myself, to surprise myself and it's always a glorious thing. I made a major decision today (no, not the nails), and I am excited to waking up every day happy and optimistic about everything soon.

P.S. I look incredibly haggard, don't I? Hahaha.
